Using Untangle Software Products

There are three types of Untangle Software Products:

• Virtual Rack Products: All the Software Products above the Services pane in the interface can have unique configurations, which you can apply to specific virtual racks.
• Services Products: All the Software Products below the Services pane have a configuration that applies to all virtual racks. As such, if you remove any service from any rack, you will remove that service from all racks.
• Non-Rack Products: A non-rack product refers to a product that does not install into your rack. A rack product has a flaceplate, and non-rack products do not.

Virtual racks enable you to create different policies for different sets of users.
