We Did it, 350 Ubuntu Computers for Schools!

On March 1st, 2008 volunteers from the SF Bay Area F/OSS community gathered to refurbish computers for schools

• 130 volunteers
• 4 locations
• Over 1,000 computers disassembled, mixing and matching good for parts
• 350 finished machines loaded with:
  1. Ubuntu 7.10
  2. "Ubuntu for non-Geeks" PDF from the No Starch Press
  3. Pictures from Flickr
  4. Music from Jamendo
