Open Source

The Untangle Gateway Platform is now open source - licensed under the GPLv2!
The APIs are licensed under GPLv2 with linking exception to allow for non-GPL compatible applications
The Professional Package (AD integration, policy management, Remote Access Portal, Configuration Backup) is proprietary
The EULA step has been removed and now just displays the GPLv2
There is a new Open Source Package in the online library containing all the Open Source applications
The pricing has changed, all applications are now free for all user bands, except those in the Professional Package and Dual Virus Blocker.
There are new pricing bands (for # seats)

Administrators now have access to the command line.
Administrators will be asked to provide a root password when accessing the shell for the first time.
SSH can now be enabled for remote access to the command line
Firefox buttons and address line on the local machine have been enabled

Web Filter now has a new update mechanism that can download diff updates every few hours from Untangle Labs
Phish Blocker also uses the new update mechanism

Administrators can now provide custom branding for block pages, reports, quarantines, etc.
Administrators can upload an image and provide a name to replace "Untangle" in end-user visible pages.

There have been major renames under the covers of certain components
Web Content Control has been renamed Web Filter
Identity Theft Blocker has been renamed Phish Blocker
24-Hour Replacement has been renamed Configuration Backup
The "store" has been renamed the "library"
"Bundle" has been renamed to "Package" (Professional Package, Open Source Package)
